The Story

As a growing Producer and DJ, Ben Taylor, (BTAY)’s story begins in The Midlands, UK. Living but a stones throw away from the thriving electronic dance music scene in Birmingham, UK, Ben was introduced to the culture from as early as aged 15.

From his early teenage years, BTAY showed interested in many different genre’s of music, from R&B, Indie Rock, EDM and above all, House. His interest around that time was met with almost immediate opportunity, when his brother’s close friend began to run his own event ‘Sweatbox’. “I’d been hearing of how successful these nights were becoming and to be honest, I just wanted to experience going out at a young age. I couldn’t use my brother’s ID as he was still only 17 and was using a Fake ID himself, so the only option was for me to go down before the doormen arrived and help set up! After seeing live DJ’ing for the first time and feeling the energy from the crowd, I knew this is something that I had to be involved in.”

From then, his love and passion for dance music has moulded into a career in Producing and DJ’ing worldwide. Acquiring residencies in Ibiza, Ayia Napa and Zante’s most recognised Clubs and Events. “I’ve been lucky enough to meet and work with some amazing Promoters and Party planners over the years, a highlight has to be Ocean Beach, Ibiza, where I held a summer residency in 2018. This was a personal goal for me and to see it come to life was incredible”.

Taking influence from the likes of Lee Foss, Marc Kinchen, Sonny Fodera and many more house hold names, Ben has crafted a unique sound which has seen his tracks reach considerable success. From airplay on BBC Radio 1xtra to breaking the Top 100 iTunes Dance Chart, BTAY aims to continue the momentum and release numerous E.P’s in 2019.

As well as DJ’ing and Producing, Ben runs his own Events company, VICE Parties. Hosting Parties in Cyprus and in The UK in it’s first year alone, he aims to make VICE Parties a well respected name in the House Music scene. “Organising my own events is something that’s always interested me. Its nice to be able to book the DJ’s I actually want to see play, and work alongside some amazing talent.”

“With 2019 around the corner I’m excited to see what this year will bring”
